As a business IT specialist, you analyze business processes and develop digital solutions that make companies fit for the future. You are the interface between management and IT and understand both worlds: the commercial and the technical. In addition to developing IT solutions, your responsibilities will also include integrating AI applications and critically reflecting on their possibilities and limitations. You will work on projects that drive digital transformation—from process optimization to the development of new business models.

Admission Requirements

European Union Students

Valid secondary school leaving certificate equivalent to German Abitur Direct admission possible for most EU qualifications

Studients from other regions

Depending on your country of origin you may start directly after having graduated school or you will have to complete two or three semesters of study in your home country first. Let us check if your higher education entrance qualification is equivalent to the German qualification. If you need to submit your foreign documents via uni-assist, we will refund up to €60 in your second semester, as long as you start your studies with us.

Language Requirements

Since all of our programs are fully taught in English, we will require a proof of your language skills. German knowledge is not required. If your language skills are at CEFR Level B2 or above, one of the following currently valid language test certificates and scores can be accepted for your application:

TOEFL ITP: 543
TOEFL internet-based: 72
IELTS academic: 5.5
Cambridge FCE: B2
PTE academic: 59
German Abitur

Note: Further certificates at a qualified B2 level can be assessed individually by the INU. Recognition of Previous Academic Credentials If you have already achieved credits at other universities or in other degree programmes, you can submit an application for recognition of these credits. This could help reduce both the length and cost of your studies at INU. We would be pleased to review your previous achievements and advise you on possible credit transfers.

You may also start your own business directly and work as an IT or business consultant for various clients.

IT Consulting and Project Management: Advise companies on the selection and implementation of IT systems, plan projects, coordinate teams, and support digital transformation processes.

Business / IT Analysis: Analyze business processes, identify optimization potential, and develop IT solutions that increase efficiency and competitiveness.

Software Development and IT Security: Work on the development of software solutions or specialize in IT security to protect companies against cyber risks.

Digital Business Models and E-Commerce: Design new digital business models, develop strategies for online platforms, and manage e-commerce systems.
