Your Psychology Degree: Flexible, Modern, and Practice-Oriented

The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Psychology program at INU offers you a modern, fully location-independent, full-time online degree program. It provides both a solid foundation in the scientific principles of psychology and practical methodological skills.
You will explore core areas such as general psychology, social psychology, developmental psychology, diagnostics, statistics, and research methods. The program is complemented by modules on industrial and organizational psychology, clinical psychology, and elective courses.

The program is designed with a flexible teaching approach: you’ll learn through digital course materials, videos, interactive learning formats, and online exams. Thanks to location- and time-independent structures, you can tailor your studies to fit your life perfectly. The program prepares you for a wide range of professional fields and career paths—such as human resources, counseling, healthcare, research institutions, or educational settings.

Admission requirements depend on the pathway and include either a general university entrance qualification, an equivalent degree, or a professional qualification. The program is state-recognized and provides the academic foundation for advanced master’s programs. Unfortunately, it does not lead to certification as a licensed psychotherapist.

Valid secondary school leaving certificate equivalent to German Abitur Direct admission possible for most EU qualifications

Studients from other regions

Depending on your country of origin you may start directly after having graduated school or you will have to complete two or three semesters of study in your home country first. Let us check if your higher education entrance qualification is equivalent to the German qualification. If you need to submit your foreign documents via uni-assist, we will refund up to €60 in your second semester, as long as you start your studies with us.

Language Requirements

Since all of our programs are fully taught in English, we will require a proof of your language skills. German knowledge is not required. If your language skills are at CEFR Level B2 or above, one of the following currently valid language test certificates and scores can be accepted for your application:

Note: Further certificates at a qualified B2 level can be assessed individually by the INU. Recognition of Previous Academic Credentials If you have already achieved credits at other universities or in other degree programmes, you can submit an application for recognition of these credits. This could help reduce both the length and cost of your studies at INU. We would be pleased to review your previous achievements and advise you on possible credit transfers.

The INU Psychology program follows the recommendations of the German Psychological Society (DGPs) and offers you the freedom to study psychology full-time with us without being hindered by an admission quota or tedious waiting periods. Your spot in the program is open to you.
